Aero India at Yelahanka: The 2027 Dates, the Pass Types and a Lakefront Stay 13 km from the Gates

A quick correction before anything else, because a lot of people land here looking for a 2026 show. Aero India is held every two years. The last edition was February 2025 and the next one is 8 to 12 February 2027, at Air Force Station Yelahanka in North Bengaluru. There is no 2026 edition.

How the five days are structured
The official programme published at aeroindia.gov.in splits the show into zones and days. Reading it carefully before you book travel saves a wasted day at the gate.

The Business Zone is the exhibition halls, seminar halls, chalets and static display area. The Experience Zone is the public side of the show, and its ticket does not get you into the Business Zone. If you want to watch the flying display with a family, you want the Experience Zone from the 9th onwards. If you are meeting exhibitors, you want a business pass for the first three days.
Pass sales had not opened on the official portal at the time of writing. Published prices, excluding GST, are INR 5,000 for a business pass, INR 2,500 for a general visitor pass and INR 1,000 for an Experience Zone ticket, with separate rates for foreign nationals. Buy only through aeroindia.gov.in.
Getting to the Air Force Station
The station is on the airport side of the city, off NH44 (Ballari Road). Footfall across the public days is heavy and private vehicles are directed to designated parking with shuttles to the gates, so the last leg needs planning however you arrive.
Kempegowda International Airport is roughly 15 to 20 km away, about 30 minutes outside show-week traffic, by airport taxi or BMTC Vayu Vajra bus.
Yelahanka Junction is about 4 km from the venue, with local trains from KSR Bengaluru and Yesvantpur and cabs and autos waiting at the station.
BMTC runs special services from Majestic, Hebbal and other points during the show. Metro needs a last-mile cab or bus leg from the nearest operational station, so check the current Namma Metro map rather than relying on a line that was "coming soon" when you last looked.
Staying at Le Roma Samsara during the show
Le Roma Samsara is a lakefront resort at Chagaletty in North Bengaluru, about 13 km from the Air Force Station by road and around 15 km from the airport. In show-week traffic the run to the gates is longer than the free-flow figure suggests, so plan for it.
What the estate gives an Aero India visitor is scale and quiet. There are 148 rooms and suites across three blocks, Rumah (20 rooms and 4 family suites), Rahayu (44) and Aanya (80), which is the largest single inventory of any Le Roma property. A delegation or a group of friends can stay together under one roof rather than scattered across the city, and the evening after a day in the sun on open ground is spent beside a lake rather than beside Ballari Road.

Room inventory is not an overnight guest-capacity guarantee. Ask the team to confirm the rooming list, permitted occupancy and rooms held for every night. See the wedding brochure and confirm your allocation with the events team.
There is a swimming pool, a lakeside dining deck and an air-conditioned banquet hall with a boardroom beside reception, so a delegation that needs a briefing room or a client dinner can hold it on the estate. Samsara is a resort rather than a business hotel, which cuts both ways. It is the right choice for a group that wants a room block and a calm evening. Arrive early. Traffic on the public days is the most common complaint about the show and it is entirely predictable. Use the official shuttles or public transport rather than driving to the gates.
The viewing areas are open ground and February afternoons in Bengaluru are bright, so sunscreen, water and comfortable shoes are not optional. Carry your ID and e-ticket where you can reach them; you will be asked for both more than once. DSLR cameras have been permitted at previous editions, but the station is an active military installation and security rules are enforced without exception.
And book your accommodation before your passes. Pass sales open closer to the show. February rooms in North Bengaluru do not wait for them.
February is already full for other reasons
